my integrity speech for dad- Integrity is your level of self esteem. self esteem is what you think of yourself, it varys among people. a lot of peple have different levels of self esteem if you feel good about yourself then you have a good self esteem, if you bad things and think nothing about youself then you have a low self esteem.
integrity can also be deffined as how trustworthy you are. if you break the rules and do bad things thing people are going to think you are untrustworthy. if you break promises or pacts consistantly then you are untrustworthy. you should always try to shoot for a good level of trustworthynes.
also, integrity has alot to do with responsibility. if you have something to do its you respnsibility to do it not any one elses. always be responsible so you can have more responsibilities which gives you more freedom and time to do what you want tp do. for example if you do your homework and chores consistantly then people will think you are respnsible enough to handle more and more difficult responsibilities.
as well as responsibility and trust integrity is made up of respect. respect is how you treat others, treat them well then you show respect, if you lie or are mean to the person then you show them very little to no respect at all. always show people the utmost respect, even the people you dont like.
honesty is another factor of integrity. honestey is when you tell the truth. always be honest so people know they can rely on you when you a promise or tell them you can get something done. if you arn't honest then people will not want to tell you secrets and important information. honesty has a lot to do with trustworthynes and respect.
you can always tell when some one has integrity or not. if they do they homework, classwork, study, etc, then they have integrity. if some on always tells the truth, keeps promises, and show respect, then they have integrity. if some one is reliable, trustworthy, and respectful, then they have integrity. all these factors make up integrity. all of them are some how related, all are important, and should be used every day.
sometimes people who think they can get away with something really cant. when they try to pull something like this off there integrity goes down. when they get caught they loose respect which makes there integrity drop. when every one finds out about it they all question this person's trustworthynes, responsibility, and such which makes this persons inyegrity go even lower.
if you really belive you have integrity, then show it. dont be afraid to be honest and respectful. be some one others can rely on and trust. always be there for people when they need you. be responsible and do everything that you can, to keep your integrity up.
things that bring down your integrity can be as small as missing a chore or home work assignment, but if all these continuosly happen then your integrity drops more and more the these things continue.
dont be lazy, rude, perposley annoying or anything like that. this things make people think you are abnoxious which lowers you integrity. dont say mean things or interupt people.
